Summers are short in NW Montana and falls can be even shorter. We had our first frost last week and within the next month we'll blow out our sprinklers, trim the bushes and mow for the last time. Leaves are already turning and our burning bushes are burning. Birds are flocking and the A/C will probably be shut off shortly.

Only a bit north of you. Was pleasantly surprised when I left to take the kids to school this morning.
It was shockingly humid yesterday morning, today was a nice change.
Same weather as y'all. I've been watching the forecast since late last week in anticipation of today. They nailed it as it's perfect out. I'll take 364 more days like this.

Went for a run and barely broke a sweat, compared to getting soaked running in summer weather. Good riddance to Summer. Gotta love Fall. Cool

WET! We're a cumulative 7.5" above average in rainfall this summer. Looks like after today we are finally going to get some nice weather for a week or more. It will still be almost 80* highs, but lows will be in the mid to high 50's.

It's beautiful this morning sunny with a high of 76 and rain coming this afternoon. Looks like Fall starts tomorrow with highs in the 60's and clear for the next few days.

Still hot, fires are still burning, winds are starting to kick-up and we got another 45-days of this shit.

I used to love Fall but, the last 6-7 years of fire and smoke, has dampened my enthusiasm for the season.

Central New Mexico, fall mornings and summer afternoon.
The mornings low 60's.
Afternoons high 90's.

Best time of the year.

Across the Red River it was just as pleasant this morning. My wife wanted to put a jacket on the little one before letting him out the front door, which is fine because he loves his M65-esq field jacket.

El Paso, TX.

Last night it dropped to about 70 with almost no humidity and a nice breeze so it was perfect to walk the dogs. Overnight and mornings have dipped into the 60s. I wore a sweatshirt this morning for my morning walk. Still sunny and hot (low 90s) during the day but the days are much shorter than before.

Cold front moved through last night taking most of the humidity with it - the overnight low was 65.

Looking forward to an even cooler 55 degrees tonight. Hopefully, we'll not see any highs in the 90's again until next year.

Long range forecast is calling for mid to high 40's for lows and mid to high 70's for at least 2 weeks. PERFECT!!

When I used to hunt and fish for steelhead and salmon this was my favorite time of year. Still is.

First snow of the year here yesterday. Fall would be my favorite season in Alaska except for the feeling of impending doom of, "It's going to snow soon..."

I, like the OP, am near Houston.

At 10:00 last night, it was 80-something and 70% humidity. This morning it was 70 and 30% humidity. It will really cool off tonight.

That first cold front of the fall is the best.
