When I got divorced I knew I was leaving the service so I could be near my kid. I checked the regs and found that you earn 30 days of leave and can carry over a total of 60 and then earn another 30 in the last year before ETS.

So that’s what I did. When I reported aboard to my last ship during the in brief with the CO and XO I told them I was getting out and I had x days of leave saved up by that date-I told them my plan. The XO scoffed and said I was over the hump and would be a lifer.
2 yrs later I had 90 days and the CO granted it and I left 3 months early.

Joined the reserves and finished up for 20 total.

It seems like just yesterday when you were FFL on here. It was almost 13 years ago, when I bought a couple of M11-A1s from you. How time flies.

8 years a month ago I bought your cousin's ACOG TA11 and picked it up from you in P-cola.
Met you and your son.
