Not a Littman. Also, a quarter of the price of a basic Littman, but much better than a quarter of the quality: MDF Stethoscope Free replacement parts for life. I've had good luck so far. | |||

I use a Littman Classic III but I'm going to upgrade this spring to a Cardiology IV this as a present to myself for completing my instructor co-ordinator. For what you want, get the classic __________________________ Writing the next chapter that I've been looking forward to. | |||

The wife, an RN now since '96, uses a Littmann. That's also what she gifted to son-in-law's sister when that worthy got her RN license. The other thing the wife recommends is what she calls a "Scope-Coat", a cloth scrunchie, that slips over the rubber tubing. It both protects the rubber against your body oils, and protects your neck from abrasion. She saw how expensive they were, and whipped up a bunch on the sewing machine instead. === I would like to apologize to anyone I have *not* offended. Please be patient. I have owned and used an ADC brand for approx 26 years as my primary. Bought a Littmann Lightweight about 5 years ago. Use them both everyday without issues, other than my own hearing starting to take a crap. Sigs P-220, P-226 9mm, & P-230SL (CCW) | |||

Littmann is all I use. I use the Cardiology IV but have the Classic III (around $100) for backup. The Classic III is good set of ears and I see most nurses using these but you do get better acoustic performance out of the Cardiology IV. | |||

Mrs.BurtonRW, RN, has used a Cardiology IV her entire nursing career. Cardiologists with lesser equipment would occasionally ask to borrow it when she was still in Critical Care.
