I'm looking for a small range bag, something that fits a handgun (in a gun rug) and 2-4 boxes of ammo in the main pocket and eye and ear protection in the side pocket. Something around 13"x9"x6" would work, I think

I would really like the bag to made in the USA, of 600+ Cordura material. Anyone know of one that fits the bill? I found this Chinese made one that is pretty close, but it's not wide enough:

Since I've developed a real aversion to having anything resembling a range bag sitting in my truck, I opt to use one of these when I need a small, one gun, range bag. Its very durable, yet inexpensive, and doesn't draw any real attention.

Don't think they are american made but these bags from MidwayUSA are awfully tough to beat at normal prices, at clearance prices for me they were a No-brainer choice:

https://www.midwayusa.com/prod...e-bag?color=Multicam

I have a number of them and have been using them for the last couple years. I replaced FAR more expensive Filson bags with them. The Midway bags have way more feature and are WAY less expensive. Before you decide on any other bags do yourself a favor and at least take a detailed look at these.......

Remember, this is all supposed to be for fun...................

I use a Care Bears diaper bag from Dollar General. Very stealthy.

I believe this fits all of your requirements.
US made, right size, better than 600 codura.

Only rub is it appears only available in pink at the moment.

Wow! Some really, really good links here.

Black - that bag looks perfect. Did some digging, and found it in black!

If you are in the market for a new Pistol Range Bag, then check out Lynx Defense and see if it’s right for you. It’s made in NC and you can order direct from them. Give google a spin...

I’ve used this brand for well over 10yrs and have never had an issue. Both gun cases and range bags. Heavy duty. They are like the original Levi jeans. The more you use them the better they become.

.

Local San Diego company, Tuff Products has their design, R&D, with manufacturing here and abroad (Baja CA).

Their $45 mini range bag is 9 tall X 13 Wide X 4 Deep might be a tight squeeze for a set of David Clark ear protection.

I doubt you will need to use your gun rug as this bag has 2 internal padded gun pockets and a removable velcro padded gun mat.

Another option, is their Mag Bag which is 14 tall X 10 wide X 3.5 deep it is larger but it is one compartment that you can organize with velcro anyway you desire.

Mag Bag Link:

I like the Mag Bag because it can go from gun use to camera use, to carry anything I need because it can be reconfigured as needed. I have extra velcro separators that I've picked up from odd places that work well.
