I was today years old when I found out that Pigs in a Blanket or Pigs in Blankets look like this in the UK:

They are not hot dogs either, that's a sausage.

And they are a big deal at Christmas and New Year's

Who knew?

Pigs in blankets or kilted soldiers is a dish served in the United Kingdom and Ireland consisting of small sausages (usually chipolatas) wrapped in bacon. They are a popular and traditional accompaniment to roast turkey in a Christmas dinner and are served as a side dish.

My wife and I just go off a Disney Fantasy cruise ship.
In an area out side of three bars on the ship the have an area for late night snacks.
One of the snacks was pigs in a blanket just like in the picture.
I tried on and it was good but after just having dinner one was all I could eat.

That's diet food compared to atomic buffalo turds:
quote:

Atomic Buffalo Turds — commonly shortened to simply ABTs — are cheese stuffed jalapeño peppers, with an added smokie or small hot dog sausage, wrapped in bacon and sprinkled with a dry rub, before being smoked at a low temperature. And finally, when done, brushed with a BBQ sauce.

They are essentially a BBQ version of the famous (and now trademarked) ‘jalapeño popper.’

OK, how do I answer the wife after she walked thru and saw the "blanketed pig" pics on computer:

Her comment: "What are all of them little two-headed penises on your computer screen!"
