"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible."

My P365 has pretty much turned into my year round EDC. 10+1 when carried in my pocket with a 15 round magazine on my belt, 12+1 when worn OWB, or in a shoulder holster, and again the 15 round mag on my belt.

summertime means Seecamp LWS32 or a J frame in the pocket,

unless it is cool enough I can hide a larger gun on the hip,

if the peeps in this area get stupid, like last summer, then an AR with a bag of mags, or a shotgun with a hunting style gunbelt/bandoleer were in the trunk

I carry either a P365 with a GGI laser engraved XL frame with a spare mag which equates to 25 rounds of Federal 124gr HSTs. My other carry gun is a Glock 19 also with a spare magazine which equates to 31 round of Speer 124gr +p gold dots. I have a 17 round G17 magazine loaded in the car I can throw in my pocket if I feel the need.

I am working with a couple of P320 X carry pistols which will most likely make it into my carry rotation. That would get me up to 35 rounds of 9mm in my CCW rig.

Most of the time it’s a 340 in the pocket with 6 extra on a speed strip or a CS9 owb. If I’m going into Toledo or the Mrs wants to go east to Cleveland or any of the other democratic cities east of me, I’ll strap the P30 on with an extra mag

I carry a Shield with an 8 round magazine that is fitted with a Magguts +2 kit (so 10) +1. So 11 total.
My location, lifestyle and occupation are such that I adhere to the "don't go anywhere with a gun that you wouldn't go without one" so I don't carry a lot of extras on my body. I also have some OC spray in my car and briefcase. In longer car trips where I could go through unanticipated places, I have a G19 and extra mag in the briefcase too. I don't leave or store any firearms in a vehicle when unattended.
That may not be the perfect solution for every situation but what would, that is practical?

Typically 45 total. 8 rounds of 9mm Gold Dot and 37 rounds of .40 Gold Dot. I carry a 938 in my front pocket and a 229 in my shoulder bag.

When there are protests, there's an AR with 3 30 round mags in the back seat of my truck.

And no, I don't live in Afghanistan. I'm just cautious.

Frankly, reading this, it seems a bit absurd...

This. Except a PPQ instead of the G-19.

Like many others here have described, I have generally carried a single stack. P220, P239, PPS. All 7+1 with an 8 round backup mag so a total of 16 rounds no matter which.

Last summer I switched to the PPQ and have not switched back.

I dunno, man. Obviously you and I are on one end of the scale in this thread, but I think life experiences, environment and relative comfort level all play into this. I live in a pretty decent little neighborhood, but this whole area is infested with meth and heroin, and there’s been shootings in my little town. I grew up with one municipal cop and a border patrol man for parents, and both got into gunfights on duty. I grew up hearing about the stuff that doesn’t make the news, and that people don’t really like to talk about - basically, horrible stuff happens to good people who can’t defend themselves, and it happens all the time.

I’ve also had a few experiences of my own that left me feeling woefully under-prepared, so now I carry a fair bit of ammo. It would be the same thing with an AR pistol for me in the car, but I never got mine running right, so it became a spare Glock 17 and a half dozen happy sticks. Plus, there was all last year, and if you look at my location, I think that all that needs to be said about it. Hell, the thread Para posted with the crackhead Benny Hill routine? That looks like just about anywhere out here.

CZ-75 P01 9mm with 14+1 on board, plus 2 16-round spares.

The extra weight is nothing to me, but the extra ammo is comforting. Besides, it helps balance the weight on my belt. Big Grin

^^^^^^ Damn, that kid looks like he's probably the smallest man in the unit.

I normally carry a S&W Shield 9, 7+1 in the gun plus a spare 8 rounder. It's light enough that I don't find myself tempted to leave it at home. On those rare occasions when I have to go downtown I'll usually switch to a G19, 15+1 and a spare.

So (2) 12 round magazines with one in the chamber = 25
