GM/Chevy experts: need a part number.

I need to replace the seal in this timing chain cover.... I have a new old stock cover but the seal is dry and rusted. I want to pop that out and replace it and use the new old cover. Can anybody help with the part number?

The Front Cover Seal uses GM PN 12585673.

I don’t think that’s it... it seems to be fir the LS engines, which mine is not.

The diagrams that pop up all show it as part of a cover that doesn’t look like mine... mine is the plastic cover with the integrated o-ring style gasket.

Looks like it's one piece. I would just buy that and use the new cover with the new seal.

Per the linked doc from Chevrolet re: the ZZ4 Crate Motor (ZZ4 Long Block Install Guide), you need the following Part#:

10228655 Seal Asm, Cr/Shf Frt Oil

Thanks all. I decided I was working too hard to save $10 and just ordered a new cover.

Now to pick a oil pan gasket.
