Modern Day SavageFREE training for Colorado 1st & 2nd Responders on EV emergencies Feb 22 & 23 in Aurora CO
Joe McLaine is a GM global product safety and system engineer. He and his team will be training Colorado first responders on emergency situations regarding electric vehicles.
Weds and Thurs at CDOT offices in Aurora. Pre-registration is requested and encouraged but, if there are training slots open, they will accept on-site registrants.
The hands-on training is 4 hours long, with two (2) training sessions each day, with the first training session running 08:00- 12:00 & the second training session running 13:00-17:00. The training is accredited and being held at the CDOT facility in Aurora. They are expecting 250-300 First & Second responders for this training. This will be the only training opportunity of this type offered by this group in the Mountain West region, at this time, and the training is FREE.

patwIt is a constant battle with those things-knowing locations of pulls to unlock a vehicle for those inside/access, where to cut the car for extrication,etc.. It would be a good class to go to.

And how not to get electrocuted in the process. Same goes for recovery operators/tow truck drivers. A crash can comprise the battery/electrical safety system. Standard equipment might be a volt meter for these folks in the future.
