Pipe SmokerForum mechanism question: why is the width of some replies so large?
In this thread, for example:
https://sigforum.com/eve/forums...490061284#3490061284All replies have exactly the same width, except for the reply of wbc6092 on page 1, which is considerably wider. Why is that?

Because of the run-on line that he put to separate his signature line most likely.

Reasons will vary. In most cases it is the size of an image. Too big and it will expand like that. The forum does not automatically reduce the size of images.
In the case you are referring to, the poster typed in a bunch of hyphens either at the bottom of the post, or most likely in the signature line.
My guess is you are viewing that thread in a tablet or on a phone, as with a full browser, you do not notice it until you start shrinking the browser width.

Pipe SmokerAh, so. Thanks for the replies.
wbc6092: The forum provides the [“hr”] mechanism to put a line between post and tag line. You ought to use it. But leave the double quotes out. I had to use them to prevent invoking the mechanism.

wcb6092It looked the same size on my screen. Does this look any better.

Pipe Smoker^^^^^^^^
It does, but the [“hr”] mechanism is the best way. See mine, for example.
