Overheard a lady say she named her daughter Cosette after the character in Les Miserables.

I asked her why she did not name her boy 24601 Razz

And her nickname was Video Cosette.

Her son has the initials VCR.

Some folks just don't need to name the kids without asking around first.

Cosette is a nice name. Naming your kid because you like the name is fine. Naming because of the character in Les Mis is, well, ain’t she special.

I'd hate to think my daughters name reminded me of such a horrific story. Wasn't Cossette the one who sold her teeth and hair?

I believe Cossette was the daughter that Jean adopted and provided a life of wealth.

Not nearly as good as a rendition as the original 1987 Broadway Cast but it will suffice.

And by the way I do like the name Cosette it was just the way the lady said it to the person she was talking to, I could not resist.

According to the title, they were ALL miserable.

Never seen it, me, and somehow it fell out of the hole in my bucket list.

Isn't it all about another bunch of whingeing Frenchies...?

Never saw any of the theater adaptations or the movie; I have read the book (MANY years ago)--I didn't enjoy it (required reading in high school).
