armored80 yr old fights and shoots home invader
Too bad the brave 80 yr old is in critical condition but he did get in a good shot at his attackers.
Of course, in Chicago they must emphasis that he did have the magical FOID card, So at least they won't arrest him for not having a legal gun. I hope it was a revolver because if it was a semi auto and he did not immediately at the beginning of January purchase a new magazine of 10 rnds or less,he would be a criminal now.

No, he wouldn't. The law was put on hold today by an appeals court.

That TRO is still only for the 860 or so named plaintiffs, not the whole state.
I have an old family friend that lives in a building across the street from where this happened.

and also extends it statewide. Previously, the temporary restraining order only applied to the plaintiffs.https://www.foxnews.com/politi...raining-order-effectThere's also this from the local Fox affiliate:

For now it is clearly statewide.
