March Madness
Epic...

Caleb Love coming through in the clutch again. That kid has icewater in his veins.

If he's not hitting from outside he'll just drive drive the lane and either dish or score.

At least no one has to live in a world where K's final game is an NCAA championship victory.

For UNC to beat Kansas UNC will have to play perfectly, like they did against Duke back in March.

Duke was 12 of 20 from the free throw line. UNC was 17 of 24. I wasn’t paying attention to how many missed Duke free throws, if any, were the front ends of 1 and 1s.

Not saying free throws were the only deciding factor… but in close games it’s a decided advantage to be able to throw/drive the ball inside and come out with a 75 percent chance of two points… and young college teams (like Duke this year) don’t seem care about that strategy… . It’s all about throwing up three pointers. If you have two guys who can hit from deep, you’re good. If one of them is off, you struggle.

I did not expect this. UNC all over Kansas at half. 40-25.

That was quite a swing… Kansas went from severe frustration in the first half to dominating UNC in the second half.

It seems to me that it’s hard to “run” on college teams these days as teams drop 4 players back on defense as soon as a shot is launched. Kansas’ strategy in the 2nd half was to get the ball downcourt ASAP and give up on trying to score with the bigs in a set play/half court offense.

Depending on your perspective, it was either the biggest comeback or biggest collapse in the title game’s history. I know how Dookies look at it.

One of my sons is a KU grad, and a huge fan -- we all watched the game last night, and frankly, it wore me out. With all respect to the tradition of naming the MVP from the winning team, BACOT was the outstanding performer of the tournament.
