Should be some good games going forward.

Yep, the Zags need to dig their heals in, no more 2nd half come from behind heroics. We'll be seeing some great games from here on out.

Holy cow, Arkansas is playing dirty. Fouls on every possession and the refs are only calling about half of them. Terrible officiating.

They won, but they got a LOT of help from the refs. A bunch of no calls and BS calls on Gonzaga.

I have no problem losing a fair game, but that wasn't.

And Michigan lost too. Dang. I guess I've got to root for Purdue now.

Arkansas fans were griping about the officiating too

Might as well add, looks like my Arizona Wildcats are going down as well

Gonzaga had 15 turnovers. That, and Gonzaga doesn’t like to play a physical style of game (just like last year when they got muscled around vs Baylor), is the story. Arkansas did their homework.

Wow, St. Peter’s become the first 15 seed EVER to advance to the Elite 8 with a win over Purdue.

I'm going to stay far, far away from Chapel Hill and Durham. Pretty sure the stupid will show up in force at both places no matter who wins.

Wise move. I did as well.

Not sure how Durham looked, but this is what the Raleigh paper shot on Franklin & Columbia after the game.

At least as crazy as the last national championship. Not a premature celebration of winning the whole thing - Kansas looked very, very good in the early game - this was about defeating their archrival in the Final Four and ending their coach's career on another down note - unique to the rivalry.

No dog in the UNC-Duke fight but the Blue Devils had a bad game. I can't imagine the pressure of playing for a spot in the finals AND it being coach K's last game.

Duke was 12 of 20 from the free throw line. UNC was 17 of 24. I wasn’t paying attention to how many missed Duke free throws, if any, were the front ends of 1 and 1s.

Not saying free throws were the only deciding factor… but in close games it’s a decided advantage to be able to throw/drive the ball inside and come out with a 75 percent chance of two points… and young college teams (like Duke this year) don’t seem care about that strategy… . It’s all about throwing up three pointers. If you have two guys who can hit from deep, you’re good. If one of them is off, you struggle.

That UNC-Duke game was a battle. Something like 19 lead changes and a toss up right down to the buzzer. The announcers were saying that Coack Ks first ever loss as a coach was to UNC and now his last loss is to them as well. That's gotta sting. Big Grin

If Kansas can shoot as well as they did last night on Monday, they are going to be awfully tough to beat. They were sinking everything they threw up from inside and outside. That was a good game as well. A lot closer than the score would lead one to believe.

If UNCs injuries are a factor, I think Kansas will win pretty handily. Otherwise, it should be a good game.
