Hello, Have a work phone upgrade and can choose either the S10E or S10. I am coming from an S7 which I love. Any strong reasons to go with one or the other? I am not a huge fan of the curved screen but my wife's S9 has been fine with the right case. ....

S10e here and I've been very happy with it. S10 was just too big for me. S10e is phone size in my opinion. There's supposed to be some additional camera features and such on the S10 vs S10e, but I don't need them.

My wife and I both use the S10, and the SPECK case. The phones just work! The curved screen is no big deal and should not bother you in any way with your use of the phone. Battery life is exceptional, cellular connect, wifi connection and bluetooth are very good. S10E is slightly smaller than the S10. The S10 with SPECK case fits easily in my pocket. The SPECK case has a slightly raised front edge which prevents the screen from touching the surface when laid face down. If you're goin' through hell, keep on going. Don't slow down. If you're scared don't show it. You might get out before the devil even knows you're there. NRA ENDOWMENT LIFE MEMBER

Following, as I recently shattered the rear glass & camera lenses on my S9+, and have had a very thin crack down the front glass. Looked on ATT & didn't realize how many Samsung options there are now. The Enemy's gate is down.

Thanks! Call quality and battery life have been good for you? That was the other main item for me, is the battery life better on the S10 since it has a larger battery. Probably negated by the larger screen size. ..

If you guys have a choice beyond Samsung, then I'd go with Pixel 4a for $350 or the upcoming 4a 5G.

While my entire Android experience has been with Samsung (S4Active, Note4, S9+) I'm not opposed. Pixel would probably be my first non-Samsung choice. Have had a few coworkers with them & they were happy with them, just a minor adjustment if you're used to the Samsung GUI. The Enemy's gate is down.

Our only options for androids are the S10E and the S10.

Good information. Do you use the Speck case with a screen protector built in over the top or a separate screen protector? I don't mind the fact that the screen on the S10 is curved so much for usability, i just worry that it will break easier. ..

It's really as simple as this. If you like a larger screen and 'slightly' better battery life, get the S10. If you prefer a smaller screen, get the S10e. The internals of the two phones really don't differ significantly. Don't over think it. Personally, if Samsung is the company brand, I'd try and convince them to get me a S20 FE. It should be no more money than an S10, and brings some advantages to the table. Just a thought. ----------------------------- Guns are awesome because they shoot solid lead freedom. Overthinking is in my DNA. IT says we get better pricing on the S10 over the S20 so that's a no go. I love my S7 but I also am tempted by the larger screen. I think as others have stated though, the S10E may be the perfect size. Battery life is important to me as well. My main concern though is breaking that curved screen..... ..

No additional screen protector. The S10 has a factory screen protector installed, and we have not had to peel it off and replace it. I will get you a link to the SPECK case we are using: stand by. Using the phone and case since the S10 first came out (early 2019) Speck Case Link ETA: My wife is brutal on phones and I am really impressed that she has yet to cause ANY damage or scratches on the S10. Here is a shot I just took. You can see the edge, compared to the toothpick on the screen. You can also see that the curve is only on the very edge of the screen. I don't think there is much difference in size between the S10 and the S10e. I think people are thinking of the S10 plus. As J3e has stated, the S10 comes with a screen protector installed. If you feel up to it, you can replace that with a Whitestone Dome curved screen protector. Installation can be harrowing. But if you can get it installed correctly, they are very nice screen protectors. I would recommend going with the S10 over the S10e. But I would also try to angle for an S20 first. The S20's have much better 5G capability over the S10's. So they are better future proofed.

Call quality and battery life are good. Of course only comparison I have is my former S5. I keep a tempered glass protector on mine and an otterbox commuter (I believe) case. It is just a simple wrap around, which extends a little beyond the screen protector. I do break screen protectors about 2x a year. I just buy the multi packs on Amazon and replace when they get bad enough.

Have your IT group re-check pricing. The Samsung S20 FE is a brand new 'mid-range' phone that just hit the market in the last week or two, so your IT may not even be current on it yet. And just for reference, I can score a S20 FE from Best Buy for $599 right now, so they should be able to do better than that if it will be part of a substantial corporate account. Oh, and the S20 FE has a 120Hz screen refresh like the regular S20 which coming from a S7 you'll love, as well as a big battery, so that would also meet some of your requirements. ----------------------------- Guns are awesome because they shoot solid lead freedom.
