Keeping the economy moving since 1964

I recently heard our governor (Kathy Heil Hochul) at a press conference touting her new state budget, spew on about how it advances progressive ideals. I think progressive ideals consist largely of throwing money at programs to buy votes.

Florida has 20% more people than New York, yet its governor's proposed budget is 50% smaller than the proposed budget of New York's governor. Kathy Hochul wants $227B from 19.7M people and Ron DeSantis wants $115B from 21.8M people.

My head hurts.....

I don’t see how this is sustainable, most look no further than the end of their term. Yet we see, CA, IL, NY & others are still there.

To many, Gov’t $$ is free $$, no worries about where it comes from.

Govts. never have enough money to do all the "good" they want to do. The left just feels less guilt about extorting the public.

New York State is the California of the East

They’ll end up chasing all the money and business away with all their insane taxes and money grubbing schemes just like California is doing.

I’m seeing a LOT of cars around here in the past few months with NY plates, I suspect people are beginning to flee NY and move into PA

When Harrisburg seems like a better option… “shudder”.

My family lived in PA for 300 years. Almost all of us have now left, as have all the family businesses.

Sooner or later, this is going to come down to us choosing whether we want to be in a bankrupt anarchy, or to start hanging the political class.

The parasites have Al become an intolerable large part of the population.

The benefit of the first revolution, was that most of the parasite class was in the UK.

Somehow, whethet through violence or education, we have to eradicate our indigenous parasitic classes.

Those are probably Democrats. Republicans/Conservatives fleeing NY know PA is already too far gone and gave up on the idea of moving there in the late 90s early 2ks.

70s and 80s it was Florida. 90s and early 2ks it was some North, mostly South Carolina. Now it's Tennessee.
(which they will eventually ruin just like the Carolinas)

I see Hochul is planning on banning flavored tobacco products. That'll piss off a good portion of her voters.

No Newports for you!

Pretty sure many folks are already used to buying black market smokes or driving down to NJ and ‘smuggling’ them back into NY. No, I’m not kidding. There is apparently a thriving black market for cigs in NYC thanks to all the taxes them.
