Prayers sent.

Two things bring me to tears. The unconditional Love of God,the service of the United States Military, past, present, and future.

I would rather meet
a slick-sleeve private,
than a hollywood star!

Thanks everyone. I should be home Sunday, or Monday at the latest. The forum is blocked at the hospital so I won't get back until then.

I wanted to give everyone an update.

The surgery went well. I just needed a repair of the valve, so a 4-6 hour surgery turns out to be only 2.5 hours. I spent 18 hours in ICU then headed up to a regular room. I'm occasionally in atrial fibrillation, which is normal after this surgery. I was released and home Monday afternoon. Thank you for everyones prayers.

Just seeing this as well. Prayers for a full recovery! Hang on to that heart pillow when you're standing up and don't forget your breathing exercises. YOU WILL BE FINE as long as you follow your post-surgical PT regimen.

"If you’re a leader, you lead the way. Not just on the easy ones; you take the tough ones too…” – MAJ Richard D. Winters (1918-2011), E Company, 2nd Battalion, 506th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 101st Airborne

"Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil... Therefore, as tongues of fire lick up straw and as dry grass sinks down in the flames, so their roots will decay and their flowers blow away like dust; for they have rejected the law of the Lord Almighty and spurned the word of the Holy One of Israel." - Isaiah 5:20,24
