I have heard great things about these but didn't realize they were $1500. If you own one can you tell me about your experience and why I should or shouldn't get one? We will mainly use it for burgers, brats, steaks, chicken, and veggies. I am intrigued with the Wok grate and potentially cooking pizzas on this. My charbroil is ready for the dump after this winter.

Thanks!

I have almost the same grill, an E-435, and we use it regularly throughout the year. We love it!

It's hard to beat a Weber!

I don't know the exact model of my Weber Genesis, I just know that I have been using it for over twenty years with only one grate/flavor bar replacement. This after a couple of decades of replacing an entire rusted-out Charbroil every year or two.

As a bonus, they are by far the best supported brand for third-party add-ons (griddles, rotisseries, etc.) should you desire them.

Buy Weber, cry once, don't look back.

Love my Genesis 310. Probably the fifth grill I have had plumbed onto my natural gas. You guys and your silly tanks...

I had a bad experience with Weber in the past and swore them off, but I ended up giving them another chance and got the exact grill you posted in Feb 2022. It's been very solid. Gets very hot for searing and the grease tray setup works really well and is easy to keep clean. Only gripe I have is that the lettering around the control knobs has already worn off quite a bit I also got the little light that mounts to the lift bar and it has worked flawlessly. I don't regret buying it at all.

"featuring Weber’s largest & hottest sear zone"

I 'd buy it for that alone. My Genesis, a 310 has been amazing, only had to replace the falvorizer bars with stainless ones

I have that exact grill. Bought it new in 2021. It is probably my fourth or fifth Weber. I absolutely love it.
The sear station is a bonus and works well.
It’s only my wife and I so when not grilling for a crowd (which we often do) I just use two of the burners.
My only issue is that the igniter doesn’t work on the first burner. Tried to fix it but no luck. It’s not a huge problem because it cross ignites.
A great grill, albeit a bit pricey, but it will last you a long time. I’d buy another one tomorrow!
Good luck with your decision!

Weber has quality issues, here's my experience. I take really good care of my personal belongings. I am often complimented on how well my "things" look and how good of shape they stay in despite being several year old to decades old.

I have a Weber Genesis 2 - 610, it's a 6 burner. Enamel lid with cast grates. Weber has stainless versions of grills that should "last" longer. Bought in 2017. Overall performance best grill I've had, replaced a Sears 4 burner with side burner that lasted 10yrs. The Sears needed the grates replaced once and the flavor savors, those metal tents over the burners once also. It finally rusted out the fire box. Had a 3yr warranty. Those replacements happened in its last 3yrs of life. No issues during warranty period.

The Weber has had its issues. 12-24 months and replacements are needed. Fortunately the model I have is when they did the 10yr bumper to bumper warranty. The entire grill is covered for 10yrs, every part. I have replaced enough parts under the warranty to build a new grill. Warranty is different on current models.

Grates 3x
Flavor savors 3x (last set Weber upgraded to stainless version)
Plates in bottom of firebox under the burners 3x (last set Weber upgraded to stainless version)
Lid 1x (damaged found during assembly new)
Firebox, the main part of grill that holds burners and grated 1x
Back frame half 1x

Next claim now is for the slates at bottom there's like 12
Front frame half
Support bar for controls
Caster wheels they are cracked

ALL items expect fire box have rusted out each time for a claim. As you can see they have rust issues. I use the grill at least once a week and have used it almost daily at times.

Firebox warped and grates wouldn't stay in place.

Cooking performance wise it's a great grill.

Quality wise it's no better than the $99 special.

Warranty wise excellent

Customer service excellent

Would I buy another after the warranty is up on this one, probably not. Way too expensive of a grill to have to replace parts every 1-2 yrs.

I see Weber units on FB marketplace weekly in my area. Most are rusted in the bottom areas or they have been hardly used. Most are free or under $100. They hold no value for being such a premium product. In my experience as far as quality/longevity goes I would be better off buying a new $200 grill every 2-3 years then paying well over a thousand for a Weber. Performance wise for cooking it'll probably be hit or miss.

Thanks for all the input. Now just hoping I might be able to snag a deal on one before Christmas. I see Costco has the S-435 for $1350 but they are sold out everywhere close to me.

I thought I would post this video in case someone comes across this later. It helped me figure all the differences between the models.

You can always find good used ones on Facebook marketplace cheap. I picked up an S-420 in excellent condition for $300 5 years ago and it has performed well. When time comes to replace it, I’ll pick up another used one. People are always moving, upgrading, downsizing, etc. And better deals can be had in the off season, even free occasionally.

I love my Weber but let’s be real they are very simple and basic and really haven’t changed much in 20 years other than styles and accessories so the price escalations are beyond crazy.

My Genesis S-330 was $900 and I thought that was outrageous 5 years ago.

I just checked Costco and that grill is online only. But they will happily ship that grill to you and it looks like shipping is free.

I have the S-435 with the side burner and I really like it. I also have a Big Green Egg when I want to have that real smoke taste, like on low-and- slow pork shoulder, brisket etc. But for a gas grill, the 4 -burner Weber is excellent, especially if you are cooking for a large group.

Yes, but it's shows as out of stock for me, are you seeing something different?

I have a weber S 330 that sits outside 1/2 mile from the ocean and it's 8 years old and I just now had to replace the flavor bars, other than that works perfect and it's seen a lot of use.
