I need to refinish a hardwood floor in my Motorhome.
The living room floor is a plank oak.I have a door that is at the front of the Motorhome so everyone must walk in and thru the same path no matter where they are headed in the RV. Dirty shoes and paws are a constant abrasive.

What is the toughest surface finish for Oak in this day and age? Some sort of runner is also in the mix.

Moisture cured urethane is usually considered toughest for floors but is generally a professionaly applied product.
I like oil based polyurethane floor finish. Lots of good choices. Varthane is easy for me to find.

If you do not want the hassle of an oil finish, the water based are getting better.

Maybe a rubber/vinyl or even fabric runner. Possibly laminate. Some of that stuff has a warranty against scratching.

Oil based poly looks the best but IMO water based poly wears slightly better and is easier to repair.
