PuriBag Survival Water Cleaning >>>>>>>
In my opinion, a pretty neat concept and would make a nice addition to a survival bug out kit. Enjoy and God Bless !!! Smile

Interesting.

An additional 10 minutes of research shows that the key component is the chemical packet. The packet basically clots up dirt in the water and causes it to sink to the bottom. The packets can be purchased separately from the bag.

For my use case, having a supply of packets in addition to my normal purification methods would be best. For cleanish water, I would just filter and then purify as normal. For turbulent water, I could add one or more packs of Puribag powder to help precipitate the dirt to the bottom of the container and then filter/purify per normal.

Skipping the bag lowers the cost from $3.75 per 10L down to $2 ish. Still expensive, but might fill a particular use case.

Looks like a pretty good first-stage for filtration. Anybody that's had to treat water before, knows the removal of all the visible crap is only half the battle. Looks like the P&G tabs do kill a lot of things but, doesn't list Cryptosporidium. Having dealt with giardia in the past, I run my water through a purifier.
