Void Where Prohibited |
I'm considering buying a new car and remembered posts from a couple years ago about mandated monitoring software for cars. I remember it was supposed to be included in 2025 models. Did that ever actually get done? Should I be looking at 2024 leftovers, or is that just tinfoil hat stuff? I haven't been able to find anything definitive about it online. Most vehicles have done this for years. You need to dig through settings on the screen or in the app for most vehicles to "opt out" of it. GM was the one who got busted for selling data to insurers but nearly every brand has something similar. Easy solution is to simply unplug the cellular antenna if you're worried. May as well ditch the phone too since it does all the same stuff.

On a recent out of state trip we were given a hornet as a rental car - better than walking is all I can say. A quirky Italian made collaboration with dodge. Two “gas caps” one for gas one for electrical charge, uncomfortable and illogical interior layout, no pick up, sluggish handling. If I was given one for free I would promptly sell off to get something else.

Thread drift. Sorry. Just for fun. No fancy spyware here. Is this tv pitchman, Chick Lambert, honest or what? There really was a Ralph Williams Chrysler Plymouth, the pitchman was real. They made this as a prank, it never aired on TV, but it made legendary status. .This message has been edited. Last edited by: OKCGene,

In financing (article posted on the forum this week), the Fed is going to drop the rate once more this year and 4 times next year. Would be a good time to wait unless you are in need. I’m going to replace my daily driver but I’m going to wait until well into 2025, and take advantage of % rates going down a few points compared to now. What am I doing? I'm talking to an empty telephone

Due to the almost free fall state of the auto industry I’m starting to see below market financing rates advertised by some manufacturers so it might pay to shop around, particularly as we head into the fourth quarter. ------------------ Eddie Our Founding Fathers were men who understood that the right thing is not necessarily the written thing. -kkina

I'm not concerned with interest rates as I won't be financing. Just curious about the difference in invasive monitoring between 2024 and 2025 model years based on the old thread. I can't seem to find an answer. "If Gun Control worked, Chicago would look like Mayberry, not Thunderdome" - Cam Edwards

I see no difference in capabilities between those 2 years. You would have to go back to 2015 or so. It depends on manufacture as well
