S&W splitting off from American Outdoor Brands (AOBC).
Meh

It used to be split off anyway not that long ago as Smith & Wesson Holding Co. (SWHC) so it’s a non-event to me but it seems like a smart play if the firearm manufacturers are going to start getting sued by victims attorneys.

As long as they don’t run it into the dirt and saddle themselves with debt again I’m cool.

What do you all think ?

What do you all think ?

I think it's generally a bad idea for a gun company to be owned by a big conglomerate.
They are usually run by politically correct, leftist, globalist pukes. They don't have the stomach for the bad press the gun business gets every time there's a shooting somewhere.

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible."

The only thing I've wanted from S&W for the last few years was a new keyless model 60. Since they refuse to make one, I don't care about them at all.

I'm liking the newer M&Ps, so I want them to stay around.

Why the indifference? They’ve been around for over 100 years and employ over 2000 people in the middle of New England. Their 1911s are great guns and they’re doing quite well with the M&P line. If I can’t find a Colt I may even buy their AR15. I hate the key but I’ll always grab pre-lock if it’s a good deal.

I think the more interesting fact here is that James Debney (CEO) is staying with AOB and will be departing S&W.
