I try to list this every year for those that might be interested. One of these years, I am actually going to go. But, in the meantime, here is the website:

https://ppihc.org/14273-2/

Most years they just have the audio to listen, but, this year, it looks like they also have a YouTube stream.

It doesn't start until tomorrow, so you can plan accordingly. Wink

Enjoy!

ETA: Here is the YouTube stream:

I hope Lia Block does well driving the Hoonipigasus even though it's will not be an "official" run. Her father never had the chance to take it to last year's event due to engine problems, so this will be its debut.

We attended it several years back, purely by accident. We had planned a trip to Colorado springs and it just happened to coincide with the hill climb so we figured what the heck go see it. It was very enjoyable.

How time flies. I knew the road had been paved but didn't realize that was done by 2011.

Came through there a few years ago on a road trip and was going to visit... But we had done Badwater Road in Death Valley 4 days earlier so we did the slightly higher Mt Evens instead. That meant in less than a week we drove the lowest and the highest public roads in the US both in less than a week. Thought that pretty cool.

I'm not a great EV fan, but that's a pretty wicked machine.

Starts in about an hour and forty minutes.

I'll be listening today while working with the Kubota on the land.

Looks like a great day for racing!

I imagine it should do great. Low center of gravity, incredible torque from zero rpm and altitude will not affect the power.

Apparently, the coverage for this year's Climb was pretty bad? I read it was only four cameras for the entire course.

^^^ My wife said the same. She watched it, while I listened to it mostly on the local radio while working outside.

On breaks, I would come inside, get a drink, and watch the stream. Seemed like lots of "interviews" with drivers, owners, etc., and less racing footage.

I imagine it is quite the feat to video all of this as it is happening. I recall years ago Red Bull was sponsoring it, and they had great footage. IIRC, 3-4 helos in the air covering it, and it was spectacular. I am sure that with this race being a one-off, and only held once a year, that getting it onto the air is tough. Kind of why I try to post it here.

In a thrilling display of electric-powered dominance, Ford's SuperVan 4.2 has set a new record time at the renowned Pikes Peak International Hill Climb in the Open Class category.
