It seems odd to me to have liked a fellow whom I had never met but he seemed like a good fellow with a fine sense of humor and a heart full of grace. Thanks for many evenings spent watching and enjoying your show and Rest In Peace.

He recorded shows up until October 31st. Death didn’t seem imminent. He’s one I’ll miss.

Jeopardy Contestant Tearfully Thanks Trebek

He was a gentleman with so much dignity and spirit in spite of the odds he faced. RIP.

RIP.

I met the man years ago. He was on his honeymoon in Kenya. (Wife #2, I think)

I was hanging out with a Britt, and noticed Mr Trebek.
The Britt goes "Who's Alex Trebek?"
My response was "Exactly!"

They didn't have Jeapordy in England (or Africa for that matter)...

Very down to earth, easy to talk to kind of guy.

Hard news! My wife and I watched him daily for many years. He was (and is) a class act. We will miss him as will many.

Rest In Peace.

"It did not really matter what we expected from life, but rather what life expected from us. We needed to stop asking about the meaning of life, and instead to think of ourselves as those who were being questioned by life – daily and hourly. Our answer must consist not in talk and meditation, but in right action and in right conduct. Life ultimately means taking the responsibility to find the right answer to its problems and to fulfill the tasks which it constantly sets for each individual." Viktor Frankl, Man's Search for Meaning, 1946.

I haven’t watched in a long time as I gave up cable a couple years ago.

Many days my dad and I sat and watched Jeopardy.

He will be missed.

Ironic that Art Fleming, the original host of Jeopardy! (and who was friends with Trebek) also died of pancreatic cancer.

If I am correct, he stated a few months ago, he was happy the way his life had gone, when he knew the end would be soon.

You brought us a universe of knowledge over the years Alex. A program fitting for the whole family to watch and participate with.

Condolences to family, Rest In Peace, Sir.
