Got a robocall stating that a $399 charge for reoccurring charge for computer related services.
Oddly enough, the caller ID indicated that the call originated from the city where our bank is headquartered.
Instead of returning the call, I called our credit card company’s customer service. No such charge has been made so it must has been some sort of fishing call trying to take advantage of some trusting seniors.

a reminder, the scammers can make Caller ID say anything they want.

Even your number.

Yeah, I have gotten so sick of the robocalls, that if I answer, I remain silent. If it a computer, in about 4-6 seconds it gives up and drops the call. If it is a human being, they start talking and I decide whether I want to talk with them or not.

I got a call today, Hiya app ID’d it as a scam but I decided to answer anyway.

After two hellos and 10 seconds of hold music, a female came on the line and asked “How is your day going?”

I replied in my creepiest possible voice, “What are you wearing?” I don’t think she was really listening and continued with “I am calling today to talk to you about your timeshare”

Now, my number is on the do not call list (fat lot of good that seems to do) and I haven’t had a timeshare in 10 years.

I said again “What are you wearing?” And followed up with “Please talk dirty to me”. Again very creepy slow but softly over enunciated voice.

She hung up. My wife was trying to figure out what the hell was going on and when I explained it she got quite the chuckle.

What part of "...Shall not be infringed" don't you understand???
