That is gorgeous. I am wanting to get some land in Tn. as well sometime in the couple years.

Are there any restrictions for building? How far is the nearest town/city for shopping/hospital?

Very few restrictions. No live stock (except horses), no single wide mobile homes, double wide ok if placed on foundation with wheels & axles removed, no campers set up to live in. That’s it.

Nearest city is 5 miles. It has groceries, restaurants, other shopping, and a very small hospital. It’s 20 or so miles to Clarksville.

Wait... you can't have cows or chickens?

That is correct. I don't want to anyway. I used to help a friend part time with cattle and hogs. That was enough for me!

Cougars are verified by the TWRA officially and reluctantly in the area from west of Nashville but there have been many more spotted all over the state including my area around the Cherokee National Forest. We have some big bobcats and black bear. I haven’t been been to the Ft Campbell area much since I was stationed there but the one time I returned I contracted Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever from the State Park near Ft Campbell. If nothing else, take the ticks seriously. They don’t play.

I got bobcats, groundhogs, armadillos ,skunks ,coyotes ,possums ,weasels ,otters ,beavers, the Tennessee area is Sooo beautiful, Right now I have a male and female bobcat that are living under what used to be my workshop I believe they have a litter. I certainly won’t interfere with them and I will enjoy them being there until we move. It’s a great state!
