Black92LXAnyone wearing Altra shoes??
Looking for something with a wide toe box that does not look completely ridiculous. I have had 2 pair of Viktos now and while they are comfortable their quality is complete and utter crap.
Warrantied the first pair in 4 months and now the replacement pair has fallen apart as well with even less wear time.
I have come across Altra and they have some decent looking models amongst many hideous models as well. They have a 30 day trial period

coogerI have 2 pair and love them. I like shoes with a wide toe box and these fit that bill. I can’t speak to their longevity yet but so far so good. One is a street running shoe and the other is a trail shoe. I only wear them running and, unfortunately, that hasn’t happened a lot lately. Both of mine are zero drop also.
I’ll add that you may want to look at Reebok also. I just got a pair of Reeboks cheap at an outlet that are super comfortable also. I don’t know if they’re advertised as wide toe box but it’s wide enough to be comfortable.

jprebbNo experience with Altra, but you might look at New Balance as they have some extra-wide sizes.

KBobAriesASICS also has wide widths. I wear their running shoes for very light jogging and street wear. New Balance at work because they're available in full leather; gotta be polished.

Not wide through the foot, just the toe box. It lets your toes stay spread out and keep them in a more natural position. New Balance is what I mostly wear (mainly US made) they used to have more styles with wide toe boxes like the 57x series but now pretty much only make the 99X which have really narrow toe boxes. Non US made New Balances quality have become crap over the past couple years as well.
Viktos
Altra

PatriotI have duck feet and Brooks extra wides let my toes stay spread out really well.
I burn through them pretty quick but it’s worth it for the comfort.

r0gueI did a pair a few years back. They were good, but very minimalist. Probably just the ones I picked as I was looking for low drop. I have wide feet (toe box) and I use Brooks. They offer wide models, but I don't even need to order them. The toe is wide in them and the uppers are so soft, that laced somewhat open, they work for me.

mke229Have owned some for awhile, very comfortable for me. Have worn LP Alpine and a couple generations of the Lone Peak models. I wear them on and off trail.

pedropcolaI used to have a pair. I loved them. My wife thought they looked idiotic. I would try them again but their pricing is off the charts insane.

There are some that I would not touch in a million years they are so ugly.
However there are a few that aren’t too bad that I could deal with it for my toes to be more free.

AckksThe Lone Peaks were known to fall apart last year. Comfortable shoes, but I'm not interested.

bobandmikakoI have two pair of Lone Peaks that I alternate for gym use. I also have a pair of Via Olympus for longer jogging on hard roads. They fit me great and have held up. Our local running store carries them. I don't use them for everyday shoes. Even though mine are pretty plain, they still don't look right for everyday shoes for me. For everyday shoes, I wear Merrill Moabs, the wide version. I've been wearing them for years.

TBHI haven’t tried them, but I recently was searching for a wide toe box to help with arthritis in one of my big toes, and help with balance. I went to a local shoe store and had a great experience. Tried on at least six different shoes. Ended up with Hoka. So happy!

StramboComfort wise I love them, ran 2 ultra marathons in them, longest was 100 miles.
Have lots of time in Hokas as well but they gave me blisters on really long runs, toe box too tight.
They are spendy and can seem to fall apart too soon but I also experience that with the Hokas as well.

corsairAltra's Lone Peak for a long time was running neck n'neck with Hoka for best trail shoes on the market. Hoka has since pulled away with more colors, and more variety establishing themselves as market leaders in the trail running category. The Lone Peak's are still a fantastic shoe, they've evolved more towards the light-hike/non-boot trail shoes. Many people like them for basic trail running, hiking or, everyday shoes; they are all over the place on the John Muir Trail and Pacific Crest Trail, I know dealers around Lake Tahoe & Mammoth sell-thru like crazy in the Summer & Fall months when hikers come in for re-supply/replacement.

Brooks has gone WOKE . Just got a mailing that a special Queer edition Ghost 15 has been launched. By Queer activist Wednesday Holmes. It's all rainbow colored and says it's full of magic on the side.
