.22 blank propelled arrow device
Has anybody heard of a new device that will shoot an arrow propelled by a .22 blank?
Supposedly it has already been approved in a few states for hunting and waiting on Michigan and others to approve it.

I was asked this question earlier today and had no idea what it might be. No further info was available from the person asking me.

Interesting.

Similar concept as those Ramset tools that use blanks to fire anchors into concrete.

A quick Google turned up the Traditions brand "Crackshot XBR", which sounds like what you're describing. It's a .22LR single shot rifle that can also have its barreled upper swapped over to one that uses .27 blanks to propel crossbow bolts at ~350 fps.

(I assume "XBR" is an acronym for "crossbow rifle".)

We used to do it with shotguns. Open up the shell, dump the shot out, and drop the arrow in. Worked great...although not legal for hunting.

Brown Precision made one I saw probably over twenty rears ago, based on a Ruger 77/22.
I asked about accuracy, He said "The second arrow I shot out of it hit the first arrow I shot out of it."

Yeah, some friends of mine in highschool used to do that with .410's.
