We've Got a New Dog

TMatsWe've Got a New Dog
Quite some time ago I posted that the time was nearing to let our GSD, Jade, go. She was about 13 years old and the time came. We did not replace her quickly.
Just this week, we drove up to Montana and picked up this young girl, a 15 month old tri-cross: Dutch shepherd, Mal, and GSD. The Dutchie in her is quite obviously the dominent breed. Someday I may even share the story of her relatively short life and how she came to be in Wyoming, after being whelped near Fayetteville, NC.
She's a sweetheart, probably the main reason we were able to get her, and even prettier than she looks in the photo.

92fstechCongrats, what a beautiful girl, and I'm sure with those three breeds in her she's going to be an exceptionally intelligent dog!

No, but then our GSD was working line bred and extremely athletic. She could easily jump up into the crotch of a tree 6’ or more in height; she never once tried to jump out.

This is her first day here. Those aren’t holes, those are flagstone pavers. Pro-tip: flagstone along a fenceline form a pathway for a trotting dog to travel the perimeter—no worn out grass at all.

linerCongrats, she’s beautiful. Both of my working line GSheps can jump a 6 foot fence. As someone mentioned in this thread they chose not too…
