I watched "It's a Wonderful Life" for the first time.
Tonight I watched "It's a Wonderful Life" with my wife and daughter. I am in my 50's and had never watched it before. I liked it, and have been reminded how much I enjoy old movies.

Congrats! It's a great movie. If you haven't already seen it check out the original Miracle on 34th Street.

Are there like 2 or 3 versions of "Miracle"? I don't think I've ever seen the original - thank you for the great suggestion.

Say WHAAAAAT.. Have you been living under a rock for all these years...Great movie as well as some of the actors in their early years. Check out a lot of the older black and white movies. They do not make them like that anymore..................... drill sgt.

Fantastic movie. I could not even guess how many times I've seen it. I enjoy it every time I see it.

ETA: Karolyn Grimes, the girl who played Zuzu, is still alive and makes appearances and gives talks on what it was like making the movie (http://www.zuzu.net/index.html).

Color or B/W? I like the B/W. And it has one of the best of the Golden Eras character actors in it:
Thomas Mitchell.
Quite a career!

I'm certain that Clarence was lying just to get his wings about what the alternate world would be like without George. You mean to tell me that if George wasn't born, no one else would go after young Donna Reed and she would become a spinster because he's the only guy in the entire area that found her hot? I call B.S. on that, I say!

It’s a great old classic. I’m 51 and never grew up watching it either and only really began watching it in the past 20 or so years.

Another good old Christmas classic that I only watched after I met my wife in 2011 is White Christmas, if you’ve never seen that one, that’s another one to check out.

Lots of classic movies I've never seen. Fiddler on the Roof, Dr. Zhivago., Citizen Kane, Rebel Without a Cause, West Side Story, Seven Samurai, just to name a few.

As somebody who worked for a bank that failed in 2023, it doesn’t always work out. People pulled their deposits and we were fooked. End of story. It was a good time to teach people who wanted to know about fractional reserve banking and how that works…

Also, the minister of the church I grew up in and that married me and my wife was the nephew of Donna Reed. He had some interesting stories.
