AirmanJeffRogue fitness equipment
Anyone here have any experience with Rogue fitness? I am about to pull the trigger on a large purchase of equipment from them for a basement gym setup but I am having second thoughts. It's super expensive but I have heard good things about them and I am a buy once/cry once kind of guy. It's made in the US which is a plus too, but it's about twice the price of other equipment I have been looking at. Any input appreciated.

RidgewayI have a monster lite rack w/a bunch of accessories. I'm 100% happy with it. But I don't have much to compare it to as far as home power racks, so whether the premium is worth it I can't say, except that I'd buy it again.

That's exactly the piece I am looking at. I like it because it's compact and I don't want to fill up my basement. It's pretty sturdy? Did you anchor it? How heavy have you gone on it? I don't plan on doing anything over 500 lbs.

JSB3Have the S1 Squat Stand. Use it for everything, squats, bench press, as well as a great clothes drying rack when I get burnt out and take a month or two off each year.
Sturdy, easy to assemble, and stable for squats and bench press. Rough powder coat finish, and the included assembly bolts, nuts are good quality.

myrottietyRogue is the definition of bomb proof.
My only gripe is I pitched a folding squat rack prototype to them 5 years ago. They told me to pond sand. A year later they realesed the design I pitched.

KDRI've got a set of bumpers and the rogue 2.0 bar and they are great. At my gym we've got a mix of pendelay, rogue, and again faster bumpers.
The rogue bumpers have held up great, the others crack and break.
I don't have much experience with their rigs though, but if they are built like their GHD machine, then they will be overbuilt and last a lifetime.

1967GoatI am thrifty, I would look for used on CL. I just searched Denver CL and saw a few. No sense in paying retail!

Did you apply for a patent prior to "pitching" the product?

CromThe consensus of opinion seems to be that Rogue is top notch.
I am a pretty frugal guy, however, and I have some racks and accessories from Titan Fitness and New York Barbells. I am completely happy with them.
If you want to save a bunch, check them out:

reflex/deflex 64It's made about 10 miles from me.
My friend works there now. He was telling me how its built more for fitness center use. Pretty much over built everywhere. I trust his opinion, as he's spent many years around manufacturing. Operated plenty of mills lathes etc.
Sounds like it's a nice operation, not a "shit show".

AirmanJeffThanks for the feedback guys. And Crom I will check out those sites.
I think I am going to order the monster lite rack tonight and hold off on some of the other stuff for now to save the money. I'll keep an eye out on Craigslist too but stuff usually sells quick around here.
