I use Moss-Out. Sprinkle the powder on the ridge and forget it.
When my daughter replaced the roof on her garage it was because of moss. She put a zinc strip on and has no moss. The only caution about zinc is that you'll get the zinc water draining in rivulets and you'll see streaks.

Yep.

I have a Chapin 3 Gallon model and recommend them. Great sprayer.

But, they won't go that far so you'll need to get up there. Twice. Once to kill it and once again to spray it off with a hose. If heights are an issue, just rope yourself up.

Back when I only had one good leg, I was really worried about a fall. So, I tossed a rope over the roof and tied it on to the bumper of my truck. Worked great.

Just mix and saturate the moss. Takes a while but no damage to my roof.

Costco sells this stuff and I've used it to spray down my vinyl siding and it worked for that purpose just fine to remove mildew and green staining.

For moss on an asphalt roof, I've had great success with a 50/50 mix of Clorox and water sprayed on the roof with a garden sprayer from the peak on down. I was shortly thereafter able to hose off the then dead moss with soft pressure from a garden hose - in order to not damage the asphalt shingles. Worked well and I'd do it again in a heartbeat.

Best regards,
Nick.

Also sold at Costco, saw it last week, it works well, but slowly. Don't expect for it to disappear overnight, takes a couple of weeks.
