After a mandatory push a few weeks ago I have been having an issue. Fires up and goes to the home screen but it only has 3 buttons on lower right. Internet,Ease of Access and Power. Sometimes much later it will finally give me the log in field. Is there an easier way to get to the login sooner?

Windows can take forever to load sometimes. It depends heavily on your computer resources (RAM, HD speed and computer hardware capabilities) and the initial SO load. You might want to check what are your options. Try opening a command line and type "msconfig" press Enter and take a look at each tab. As a rule, I always uncheck the show OS start options. If you are savvy enough to pick the right choices, I recommend Black Viper website where there are a lot of wise advise regarding services that can be safely disabled to spead up your machine. 0-0 "OP is a troll" - Flashlightboy, 12/18/20

Try it in the safe mode to see if that is faster (should be) then troubleshoot startup items as OO mentioned. Also uninstall as much unnecessary stuff as you can. Don't run too many AV programs at the same time.

I've noticed that in Win10, the login promp doesn't always appear by default and you have to click or hit keyboard keys to make it pop up.

Revo Uninstaller which is great for tracking installs and uninstalling programs also has an "Autorun Manager" module that shows you what programs run at start up and gives you the ability to uncheck programs to stop them from loading during startup. "It did not really matter what we expected from life, but rather what life expected from us. We needed to stop asking about the meaning of life, and instead to think of ourselves as those who were being questioned by life – daily and hourly. Our answer must consist not in talk and meditation, but in right action and in right conduct. Life ultimately means taking the responsibility to find the right answer to its problems and to fulfill the tasks which it constantly sets for each individual." I just give the PC a few seconds to settle down and then hit the spacebar to get the login prompt. Who waits?
