Diabetic, 2 stents in his heart for 17 years, he spent two weeks recovering from kidney infection, ecoli I am told. He had just 1 day where he seemed to be improving then, right into ICU. Transferred the next evening to St Elizabeth heart unit at Edgewood, Kentucky. The bacteria got into his blood and already weakened heart. Has pneumonia as well. The heart is pumping blood back into itself. He goes home tomorrow with his daughter and Hospice care. The man has been my Rock of Ages. I have no other friends here. I have my kitty cat. Life is surely a challenge.

Thank you Q. There are countless people here from all walks of life who know Joe from his kind and friendly ways. Most unique individual I have ever known. He is 85. A strong man for his age. They took his IV out. Some sort of IV was going into his shoulder to administer 6 weeks of antibiotics but that was canceled.

Sorry to hear. Prayers for you and he and his family. Does not make it easier. But 85 is a good run.

Thank you ORC. Joe's daughter was a Nurse in the Army, one son retired UPS but still works there, 2nd son was military and all I know is he can't talk about his position. He has 311 acres land, lots of guns and boards horses for the County Sheriff I believe.

Sounds like he raised a good family and lived a great life. Has many friends. That is pretty much what anyone could ask for. I hope that brings you peace DL. Losing a real friend is tough.

Good morning and thank you for your prayers and kind words. Yesterday, they had Joe sitting in a hospital recliner chair. Old timer looked at me and said, "it's just another one of those things". That's Joseph. He used to tell people I was his shadow. I rather proudly accepted that. I was Joe's shadow.. Big Grin He looked at the mess years of collecting made to his property and said, "Well, it seemed like a good idea at the time". I wanted to get us T shirts with that on them. Going to be lonely around here without my friend. I got my fur friend. Enjoy your mornings all. Away for coffee now.
