"Slow as molasses in January". This day in history.

On this day 99 years ago a huge molasses storage tank exploded in Boston's North End. The resulting flood, not slow by any definition, killed 21 people, injured over a hundred more, and caused incredible damage. To this day it's said you can smell molasses on hot summer days.
