CHICAGO (AP) — As many as 15 people were injured in a drive-by shooting, including three children, in the city’s Garfield Park neighborhood on Halloween night, Chicago police said.

According to WLS-TV, Chicago Police Superintendent David Brown said there are three juvenile victims: a 3-year-old, an 11-year-old and a teenager who may be 13 years old. The others wounded by gunfire are adults ranging in age from their 30s to their 50s. One person was struck by a car. The Chicago Fire Department said it sent at least 10 ambulances to the scene.

Brown said the drive-by shooting happened around 9:30 p.m. and was over in a matter of seconds. It was captured on police surveillance video, which investigators are reviewing.

Preliminary information indicates there were at least two shooters seen on the video, firing indiscriminately into the crowd.

Brown said the victims’ conditions range from non-life threatening injuries to critical condition. No fatalities were immediately reported. Police were waiting for their emergency treatment to be resolved so they can interview them.

Investigators are trying to determine a motive and get a description of the car and those responsible, Brown said. No one was in custody.

Brown said there were no known conflicts at the corner Monday night. Brown said there were several large groups at the corner, which is a popular gathering spot in the neighborhood. Some were reportedly attending a vigil.

To me it is just sad. I was born in Garfield Park. Lightfoot is too busy posting to Tik Tok and who knows what Kim Foxx is up to.

According to other sources balloons were to be released and the vigil was for a person who died of natural causes.

Garfield Park is so ridden with shootings and murders that I’m surprised it hasn’t been renamed “Gunfield Park.”

And why not, especially since she's in favor of the SAFE-T act where pretty much all crimes won't get any jail time. That piece of shit can't get voted out soon enough. I've said it before, and it's true, speaking about the violence here in Chicago is like an overused punch line in a bad joke. No one fucking cares and pretty much tired of hearing about it; point, look, laugh, leave. And why should you, I, or anyone else care at all? ZERO REASON. It's a lather, rinse, repeat cycle. THEY, the people in that community won't do or say a damn thing unless it personally benefits them (hey Detective, I need to get out from under this case, ya'll wanna know who did that shootin'?). Whatever rancid twat that shat one of those kids out won't say anything, because she's hoping that one of her sperm donors will administer some "Street Justice" in the upcoming weeks.

I had to review twice. I was looking for two legged rats way back on the sidewalk.

I couldn't agree more, but Chicago and other major cities need to be brutally honest about the root cause of the problem, and that's something which will never happen. Never. The problem requires unflinching honesty from the people of inner city Chicago, and this will never happen.

Yes, you do, but you and others would never accept the solution. How can you, when you can't even be honest about yourselves? Guns are not the problem and I pity anyone who doesn't know this, whether or not they are willing to admit it.

And they will never admit it, so, they're screwed and it's only going to get worse. I have to say- at this point, I don't really fucking care.

Just got off the phone with my old partner who's a Detective and watched the video of the shooting.
Beetlejuice just has to make shit fit the narrative!
Those "Weapons of War" are handguns.
As in regular pistols, not AR or AK pistols.
