Rotndad~*~PSA for Floirda Veterans~*~
If you guys aren't aware you can purchase the Florida Sportsman's Gold license. It includes Fresh and salt water fishing as well as Hunting. Here's a link
Florida Military Sportsman's Gold license. The Sportsma's Gold License is usually $100 for Military it's $20 per year. Add $5 if you want the hard plastic credit card version instead of the plasticized paper crap.
Also if on leave less than 30 days and home of record not stationed in Florida you do not need a license. Check it out in the link above.

V-TailLooks like it's for retired military, but not for veterans who served for less time than full retirement.

RHINOWSOPretty clear it's for military and not just Veterans - "Military Gold Sportsman's License", not Veterans Sportsman's License.
Probably keeps the benefit manageable, otherwise every Tom, Dick, and Harry who did 12 months would be clamoring for some discounted free stuff.

I just renewed my license and when I originally got it I showed them my DD214 and VA Card. It could be a mistake on the part of my local office but I've had mine for 3 years now and I am NOT retied. I served just under 8 years.

I'll suffer another 10 years to get this perk.

Yo, it was (is) good information for those who qualify: currently active military, and full retired.
Might be worth trying for guys like me -- honorable discharge, but less than full retirement. Worst thing that could happen? They tell me I'm not eligible.
Thank you for bringing this to our attention.
