9,000 firearms and counting: Illegal guns flood Chicago
Dear Rev. Michael Pfleger used to criticize the previous administration of Ritchie the II. Tired of it, Hizzoner Dos called the Bishop. The Bish called Father Fakler and let him know that if that kind of chin music continued, he would be moving on. Since then, Da Fadder don't criticize the Mayor, Such is his dedication to his own fame and power.

So, Chicago is the ONLY metro area thinking they're getting inundated with 'illegal guns'...does Milwaukee, Indianapolis, St.Louis or Des Moines have the same issues? Perhaps they shouldn't be releasing gun related felons before their ENTIRE sentence is up.

Why is it that the hundreds of pistols, revolvers and other firearms owned by people in my area aren't tormenting our neighborhood?

Answer that, oh Geniuses of the Windy City, and you'll win a cookie and figure your way out of your self-inflicted mess.

Hint. Firearms are inert bits of metal and plastic, and can't actually 'torment' anything. It's the carbon-based stuff holding them that matters.

You know, I find it strange that I am seldom more than an arm's reach from mine. It is on the top of the night stand in the bedroom when I am in bed.

Spent a couple years in the army when our weapons were kept in racks in the middle of the barracks.

Have been around, and used, guns for some 70 years and never had one of them do anything but lay there, waiting to be picked up.

Remember who is running shitcago! The fact that there is such rampant lawlessness there is no surprise to me!

Reminds me of Dodge City back in the wild west days.

There has never been an occasion where a people gave up their weapons in the interest of peace that didn't end in their massacre. (Louis L'Amour)

"To compel a man to furnish contributions of money for the propagation of opinions which he disbelieves and abhors, is sinful and tyrannical. "

That is indeed one of the dumbest sentences ever written. Even as propaganda.

Years ago the Chief of the CPD (I think that it was Gerlikowski) wrote an editorial in the WSJ that 'you cannot arrest your way out of a crime wave'. Lenient judges, enabling elders, criminal-political alliance, defeatist mentality, moral vacuuity; those are the real root causes.

The Ed Anger solution? Crank up the electric bleechers!

I moved too the wrong neighborhood in west Phoenix, a long time ago.

I will never forget the day I looked out my second floor apt. window to see
five guys carting out long guns to the trunk of a car.

you see the apt complex next door was a half way house for felons and sex offenders, 0ver 300 of them.

it was two hours before dark in the late p.m. on a spring day .

the five guys had three rifles in each hand and they made two trips each Eek

that big ole four door car was sagging like crazy.
I called it in too the non emergency number ,

she said that there is no law against transporting fire arms .

I told her the address and she asked if I knew the men and "are they felon's "

well , no and I don't know.

they did not come out.

but three days later , they did send three cars out to catch two
twenty four year olds that were tagging the sides of a canal wall Roll Eyes Smile
