If I was forced to use public transportation, especially after this incident, I wouldn’t be caught dead without a piece. What is carefully omitted are the words "Victim" and "Offender". I'm sure that the classification of the crimes committed would have added up to misdemeanors, had the "teen" survived. More than likely he would have received no punishment if he was in fact younger than 18. If he was 18, it would have been released on an I-Bond (signature only with a promise to show up to court) and no doubt received a light sentence if in fact he was found guilty. More than likely it would have been probation. Restorative justice is the flavor of today. The Working Police..... With our new Dem,ultra lib,Billionaire Governor Pritzker and the dems controlling both the house and senate we are going to be bombarded with gun control laws. We can forget about advancing our gun rights it will be hard to keep what we now have. Magazine capacity limits for handguns were struck down as part of the CCW bill as well as many other restrictions. If you live outside the Chicago area the gun laws in IL. are not too bad compared to MANY other states. We have hundreds of thousands in the state with CCW permits. All advances made within the last 5 years. | |||
