snwghstMosquito traps... experiences?
Considering I live in the Bayou there is absolutely no way to rid my property of these blood sucking vampires. However making the evening more tolerable to sit outside from the pending daily no-see-um and mosquito evening swarms would be great. These vicious buggers drink the yard sprays etc for fun
I’ve been doing a bunch of research seems
Mega-Catch Ultra may be the best choice for me. While expensive yes, if it works 1/2 as well as most reviews state it’ll be worth it to me
What experiences do people have with this model or others

I did, most all the negative complaints were for items that shipped in damaged are something failed promptly. All taken care of by the company quickly. People speak highly of the customer service
Other think I have noticed amazon now spreads reviews between most of a companies product line so often it’s difficult to tell which goes with which item

tha1000I haven't tried these yet, because the skeeters haven't got bad for us yet.. (the midges are a different story), but this was developed by a guy in Hattiesburg, MS. By all accounts, it is ridiculously effective and much more budget friendly than what you linked above.

YellowJacketI have a couple of Dyna Traps. They work ok within a pretty short distance. I have two 1/2 acre traps and I'd say the area in about a 30-40' radius around each is pretty good. Much past that, though, and they aren't effective. You do need to change the bulb out once a year or so. And empty the trap every few months. 1/2 acre dynatrap is only about $80.

Currently using these with my Midge problem. Was full to the point of clogging the fan in 2 days.

Skins2881Mom's boyfriend has a
fogger similar to this that he uses at their beach house. Works for a couple of hours then they come back. Good for use right before relaxing in back, but you need to apply each time you want to relax/entertain.
This is not exact model, but I assume they are mostly the same.

mrvmaxI have hunted in areas where mosquitoes are thick and Thermacell always works. I’d be inclined to stick with them and they have some specifically for your application.

White PhosphorusI have a fair amount of experience with a Mosquito Magnet. I does it's job fairly well but the early models had problems. These propane powered traps don't work well with the "dirty" propane you get for your grill. They need clean propane from a gas supplier.
I had two and they both clogged from this problem. I can only imagine how angry the customers are in the third world where clean propane may not be readily available.
