Any suggestions on a good, easy to deal with CPAP supply company?

My current one is a pain in the ass. Have to call to order, they have automated calls that hit at the worst times, hard to pay. I just spent 20 minutes ordering & paying $35 for the last order, because their craptastic billing website locked me out for the 4th time this year. I had to talk to 3 people, verify my address 4 times, in addition to Bday/phone number/etc. Couldn't pay for the current order because it hasn't shipped yet, so I get to do this all over again in a month.

There has to be an easy to deal with company out there. I'd be fine with online ordering & payment, never talking to anyone, let alone 3 people to do 1/2 of what I want to do.

What company are you dealing with? I’m dealing with NORCO. They suck.

I was assigned one by my sleep doc and they were horrifically bad, in fact speaking to my FIL and hearing about how bad his was too it sounds like most of them are virtually useless. You go to their Yelp page for the one I got and it's 99.9% bad review after bad review.

I gave up and now buy my supplies from Amazon, eBay and CPAP.com and use my HSA card to do so.

I also purchased my own machine rather than play the rental game with the medical company. My math told me I would be paying for it like 2-3x over than just buying out of pocket.

I've gone with CPAP.com. I'd rather pay some myself or be reimbursed by employer HRA plan than deal with the others I'd encountered prior.

I was assigned to Apria because they were the only one who would accept my insurance in my area.

I don't recommend them.

I have tried to find alternatives, buy my medical provider will only work with DMEs on their list.

I have heard from other sources that most of these DMEs (Durable Medical Equipment) companies are not treating consumers well.

They have a virtual monopoly, and healthcare in general now treats the consumer very poorly.

I have Lincare, no complaints from me.

Try to find a local company.

I have one, and if necessary I can jump in the car and drive over, get face to face and get any issue handled right then and there.

Been with Apria since 1997. Excellent local staff.

Then HQ mandated we deal with their call center a couple years ago. After they consistently screwed up every quarterly supply order for almost a year I launched on the CEO with an "assburner" complaint email cc'ing several other senior company executives. He put a fairly senior manager out of their Kansas office on fixing the service I was getting and everything has been perfect since.

When it comes to stuff like this I am NOT bashful and it gets results!

Apria sucked and I fired them.

Currently with USMED, LLC, and they're better than Apria (not saying much). However, they have an aggressive autoshipment of supplies schedule and will bury you in nasal pillows/masks, hoses, filters, head gear, etc. if you don't pay attention. Somehow, they get insurance to pay their portion of a replacement schedule more aggressive than my sleep doctor recommends. Problem is the user has to pay their percentage and then figure out how to use it all. No option to stop autoshipment online so I had to call them to stop it which means they now badger me to restart. Even with all of that, still better than Apria.

I was assigned Apria and they really sucked at first but after some back and forth they got their act together and have been good ever since.

I ignore the robo resupply calls and just call when I need them which isn’t as frequently. They ship wherever I am in a couple days and between Medicare and my old job it’s all covered so I’m happy.

You are starting to figure out the game these DME’s play.

They act like all your gear SUDDENLY goes bad after 3 or 6 or 12 months and keep pushing it on you because THEY want to make money off your insurance company, not provide you with good service. They all use those ridiculous government replacement schedules to their advantage, not yours.

I don’t play that game any longer, I buy stuff WHEN I need it.

Haven't had any issues with cpap.com, of course they take only direct payments and you do the reimburse with your carrier.

If you have an HSA visa card you can use it to pay. Delivery on time, haven't messed up an order yet.

They do have an refill reminder email system

Does your outfit do mail order?

There are 2 locally - Lincare & Williams Brothers. Lincare has a local office, but they have been less than useful. WB is a small reginal pharmacy operation (SW IN, SE IL, NW KY) and likely my next stop, but I wanted input.

I bought a 2nd unit from you a couple years ago -dreamstation go, that is now under the ' stop using it, we'll recall, maybe, if we ever get our shit together' That's another story - at least I have 2.

Next question - how do I fire lincare? They have access to my machine via cell network, so I'm sure there's more than just telling them to stop bothering me.
