It is however telling for the Dem's in that they have nothing, nothing, on which to campaign, and 20 'nothing' candidates who even they know can't beat Trump. So what do they really have left to grab on to? All they've got are the terms impeachment, racist, corrupt, unconstitutional, Russia stealing our democacy, yada, yada, yada. Just drowning rats trying to find something to float on.

One problem is that no one really knows what "high crimes and misdemeanors" means. High crimes has no precise definition. We all know what misdemeanors are, but does that mean the President could be impeached for jaywalking?

The courts have never interpreted that phrase. There is no further definition in the Constitution.

So, it becomes a political football.

It would still play 24/7 in the MSM news cycle and as their goal is to damage his chances of winning in 2020, I think they’re wagering that even if it fails, they still win. I disagree with their assessment, but they’ve been really consistent in their mindset and narrative, so that’s what I see being the motivating factor.

Impeachment is a political procedure, not a legal one. They don't need a reason. Just votes. Which they don't have.
