Best offsite parking at DCA?
Flying out of DCA soon and I don’t think I’ve ever parked a car there (other than hourly for pick-ups/drop-offs).

I’d rather not pay the daily rates at the terminal, so do we have any favorite offsite parking operators? I’m looking for secure, fast, and affordable.

Thanks.

I just take a cab. Doesn't matter if it's slightly more expensive, I rather not leave my car there. I usually fly IAD because it's right down the street, so I can spend $50 more on tickets and pay $50 less for a taxi.

Why aren't you flying BWI?

I’m about 15 minutes from BWI. Rideshare to DCA would not be cost effective.

Only flying out of DCA so I can fly direct.

I've not flown out of Reagan National in about 30 years, so I have no direct experience, but I found this link...

That option seems to have vanished over the years.
The offsite parking lots of old are now developed for the most part; with the exception of extended parking at some Metro stations and hotels. Myself, when going the reverse for BWI flights would take Metro to Union Station, and then catch the MARC train to BWI. That's also my preferred method for trips into Baltimore proper.

Take the Metro...

Unless you are leaving early on a Sunday before Metro is running.

My former neighbor developed a website to help people find parking alternatives at almost any airport in the US.
Check it out…

That's what I used to do years ago when I lived in Gaithersburg and needed to use DCA. Took a Ride-On bus to the Red Line station at Shady Grove, and transferred to the Yellow Line at Gallery Place. DCA is just a few stops down the Yellow Line from there.

But for years my preferred airport was BWI. I could get car/van/shuttle service directly from Gaithersburg, and there were also train options, as mentioned earlier. Or just use the long term parking at BWI.

I've used this website a couple of times previously for parking near Dulles, looks like they list several hotels with parking within a mile of DCA

I agree with HENRYAZ. I used to live in Olney which is kinda right next to Gaithersburg and I found, after driving and taking the Metro down there that the Metro is the easiest way to go. Especially on the trip home. It was never fun to get to DC around rush hour and have to deal with beltway traffic after working somewhere else and then flying home in a day.
