Did the “three sisters” ride last weekend. Three hill country roads that are considered the best in Texas. On the way there we happened across a Stonehenge replica in Kerville TX. 90% scale. I’m on the KTM. How often can you get Easter Island, Stonehenge, and Grogu in the same shot? _________________________ You do NOT have the right to never be offended.

Are they real rock or Fiber glass imitations ? I've always wanted a moai in my back yard. Safety, Situational Awareness and proficiency. Neck Ties, Hats and ammo brass, Never ,ever touch'em w/o asking first

We visited another kinda replica in the bluffs above the Columbia River, in Washington State a few years back. It's at Maryhill, not far from a wondrous museum of modern art, and an amphitheatre. It was built in 1929 as a reminder that Man has hot yet finished feeding his children to the gods of war. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maryhill_Stonehenge

Not easy to tell from the photo, but I don't think that it has been reset for Daylight time. הרחפת שלי מלאה בצלופחים

Cool. Must be the camera angle or something, but it looks about half the height of the real deal.

I'll have to start rebuilding my good roads list. When the bikes left the garage I lost track of it. Not a lot of good driving roads in Houston until you get up in the north Montgomery/Walker county area, and those are easy cruise roads mostly. An Austin trip might be in order once the Midget is roadworthy. Edit: Definitely need to make an extended trip, just Home to Medina is almost 5 hrs. This message has been edited. Lime Creek Road has always been my favorite road to ride. Back in the day no one ever drove on it because it is so curvy and it was just motorcycles on it. Now it has all the fancy homes and the exotic car clubs like to drive on it. I still ride it each weekend, but it isn’t like it used to be. NRA Benefactor Life Member

I wound up on LCR when I lived in Austin in college, pre-GPS & smartphones. Running it 'blind' the first time near midnight was an interesting experience. Young, dumb & confident. Thrashed my 96 Saturn through those switchbacks. I was autocrossing it regularly back then & know its limits pretty well. FM2222 between Mopac & 360 is a fun quick blast City Park Rd, off 2222 just outside 360 was fun back then too, for nearby quickie jaunts. The Enemy's gate is down.

Whats the pannier setup on your Katoom? Is KTM specific? End of Earth: 2 Miles Upper Peninsula: 4 Miles

The racks are from Outback Motortek, and are specific for the 890. I use Mosko Moto bags when doing long trips. _________________________ You do NOT have the right to never be offended.

Maybe a fall trip or two in my future. Doing all that without A/C in the middle of summer probably less fun. The Enemy's gate is down.

Looks like the Point Summer Theatre in Ingram, Texas. Spent the summer of 65 there. Good time of year to ride the Tx Hill Country. Bluebonnets covering the hills with other flowers.
