I have two classical music FM station apps on my iPhone: KUSC and WQXR. Both were working perfectly when I went to bed last night.

But this morning both apps have this problem: if I’m listening to music via either of them the stream stops if I leave the app. Even if I just go to the “home” screen without launching another app.

That problem DOESN’T occur if I’m listening via Apple Music or Amazon Music apps, both of which deliver their music stream via my T-Mobile cellular service, just as the two FM station apps do.

I’ve looked at the KUSC and WQXR apps under “Settings” and see nothing suspicious. Help!

iPhone 12 Pro, iOS 15.5

I would try turning your iPhone off for 5 minutes and starting it back up. Try it again.

It's a amazing what problems this will solve.

I thank you Angus! That worked.

BTW – I power-down, power-up my iPhone every Saturday morning, so that was done only two days ago. That usually prevents such problems.

I think I see your problem. You should do it on Wednesday, not Saturday. Razz

Even better (you may already be doing it this way) is a hard power reset. On the 12Pro, you hit the volume up/volume down buttons and then hold down the right side button until you see the Apple. The button presses must be in rapid succession, so have your fingers ready. You will see the "Slide to Power Off" message, but ignore that and continue to hold and wait for the Apple. Then you can release the right side button and it reboots. The hard reset will fix anomalies that a simple power off/on will not.

When in doubt, mumble
