Modern Day SavageI haven't had much time to post recently, but read this thread and kept hoping the rings would turn up.
My youngest brother and his wife have custom matching rings. Several years ago his family flew out to meet my sister's family at a vacation home on a North Carolina beach.
During the day he was out in the surf with several other family members when a wave hit him and he instantly realized that his wedding band had been washed off his finger. He immediately dropped down and felt below the water's surface to the sandy bottom around his feet. Once the other family members realized what happened they rushed over and helped with the search, but no luck.
My brother did his best to triangulate his position on the shoreline and remember it. Later that day he made a few calls and found a shop nearby that sold metal detectors and he bought one.
That evening, several hours later during low tide, my brother and the family return to the same area, and about 10 minutes after he started sweeping the now-exposed beach the metal detector starts beeping and they drop down and dig out his wedding band, no worse for wear.
Chongo, really glad you guys found the rings! Merry Christmas to you and yours and to everyone!!

My youngest brother and his wife have been married for 19 years and she has worn her rings almost continuously in that time.
Recently we met for breakfast and I noticed that she wasn't wearing her wedding ring. I didn't say anything at the time but later during conversation she mentioned that, out of the blue, she suddenly developed a rash where the ring sat on her finger. She showed me a small circular rash on her wedding finger that perfectly matched her ring.
Unless some sort of metal wore away exposing a base layer they are at a loss to explain why she suddenly developed a rash. They were going to go back to the jeweler who made the rings to see if he had any recommendations and perhaps have it resized to see if that makes a difference.

AirmanJeffAwesome! I've been checking in hoping to see a FOUND update. I'm not overly religious but I said a prayer to St. Anthony when I read this, an ode to my italian grandmother. As she would say - works every time!

SIG4EVAVery happy to see it found! It's scary for sure. I lost my ring three times and my wife told me to just put it in the safe. I work on cars and do a lot of outdoor chores so I would take it off all the time and misplace it.
