tatortodd: Was there any acknowledgment as to you receiving this unit. If it would have been stolen as we in Mpls, MN are suffering through - would you have known it was delivered.
Hope all goes well with the new unit - Still waiting on mine.

It was shipped signature not required.
I'm signed up for FEDEX tracking so FEDEX started notifying me I was getting a package. For the life of me, I couldn't figure out what I had ordered since it was post Christmas. I had out of state visitors in for the holidays and they were making fun of me for ordering so much crap that I don't know what I ordered.
At least I was expecting something due to having a FEDEX account and FEDEX's app configured to provide delivery notices.

bald1A bit of a drift but tatortodd is spot on.
Highly recommend folks sign up for the free notification service from FedEx, UPS, and yes even USPS. Knowing something is inbound whether you ordered or not is extremely helpful. With FedEx and UPS you can also usually tweak delivery with instructions to deliver to your work instead of home for example.

2AdefenderI have yet to receive my new unit.
How do they know how to set the pressure? Do they get a copy of your prescription?

beltfed21The last note I got from Philips said that it would take until September 2022 to get everyone on the list. I’ll probably be the last one!

slabsides45I got mine about 10 days ago, no notice, just got a box lying on the back porch area. Seemed to me that it is noticeably louder than my previous machine, wonder if that is the change in components they used.
Anyone know if the new models can be cleaned using the ozone cleaning machines, or are they saying it voids warranties, blah blah blah?

There is no way I'd use one of them now, that's how this whole thing started. These ozone machines were causing the foam to break down and disintegrate into tiny pieces/dust and it may happen again.
IMO from what I see those machines are a total scam anyway.

Only happening on one company's foam (ie. poor engineering).
As far as scam, it's anecdotal but I've had an ozone cleaner for a few years and big reduction in upper respiratory infections.

I just moved the SD card from old unit to new unit and everything worked fine.
I also moved over the tattle tale device. I'm a 100% user so I like that the doc can get my data without me having to bring in my SD card and them remember to give it back.

PatriotQuestion for all in this thread?
Have you experienced any issues from using the recalled CPAP?
Saw a class action lawyer commercial and wondered if anyone had serious issue.

redleg2/9downtownv, Just read your post: "you are eligible for a new unit after 5 years or 20000 hours. contact your supplier."
When I took my machine to the VA for an adjustment (auto on to manual/auto), I asked re the replacement policy since my current machine was almost five years old.
Response: The VA does not replace CPAP machines unless they break. Years and milage do not qualify for replacement. I am 100% DAV, so it is not related to eligibility since they supplied my first CPAP about 15 years ago.
I did register with Philips on 07-22-21 and I have received notices, but no new machine yet.

downtownvContact Phillips directly!

slabsides45redleg, I agree with downtownv, contact them directly. If you filed when they first came out about it, chances are that you're in the pipeline somewhere.
My real question about the ozone cleaner was that supposedly they did fine on other manufacturer's cleaners, and that the replacement units were made using different foam. Thought was that it has to be different for a reason, and that likely they've used a foam similar or same as the other manufacturers, and that it is now safe. But not sure, so...

Could you see this affecting Philips Respironics to the point where they give up and exit the CPAP market? This seems to keep getting worse for them

No, Phillips is a huge conglomerate.

Every manufacture There are at least 6 that we deal with, SoClean is our LEAST preferred) of o3 cleaners stand by their products saftey. They indicate it was the particular foam used by Phillips-Respironics that broke down over time and 03 was never the issue/cause.
