Eighteen and a half years and still my favorite place to hang out! Thanks para!

People who know me reasonably well, especially those with an interest in guns, know that I spend a lot of time on SIGforum. I try to tell them it's not just about guns; it's the best all-round forum I know of. Many thanks to Para for providing it, and mods for helping run it. It is much appreciated as this and similar threads have shown time and again.

Ten years. I've enjoyed this intersection and the personalities in it for a little over ten years. There is no other site on the web like SIGforum that I know of and I know why. I think we all do. Thank you PARABELLUM and the rest of those who serve this community. It is an act of selflessness that does not go unappreciated.

I don’t post here much, but I’ve been a member/lurker here for a while.

I’ve been a member on the other site far longer, and I EDC’d one of those for the last decade or so until my reawakening about 18 months ago.

I’ve been in IT at a pretty high level for much longer than both. I’ve led several companies through M&As and I’ve known several folks who grabbed the brass ring and cashed out. They’ve done VERY well for themselves.

Having been through those those and having spent A LOT of years supporting sites and software that I’ve written, I can’t even begin to describe my admiration for Para and for his commitment to us.

He could easily have taken a buyout and retired the the Gold Coast, the South Pacific, or at least South Beach.

But he’s CHOSEN to continue to put up with us and our shenanigans.

First thought was, "thank God we don't deal with that over on Sigforum."

This really is the best firearms forum there is. It has always been consistently moderated to keep the forum culture what it is. Quite a feat in my estimation. 85,000 members to keep in line!
