For practically every body, we hardly learn any significant life-lessons when things are going well... When bills are paid, children, wives, parents are all healthy, job security is not in doubt, we just live life without a care. While the hospital E.R. is a great place to practice one's theology, it's not the best place for one to work out what they actually understand about their theology, or try to come to grips with a God they don't know, nor understand. Life's trials are God's schoolroom. It's best to be prepared for the lesson. Hope that's helpful. | |||
