according to the libtard socialists, taking guns is worth it if it saves just one life

so by a similar train of thought, shouldn't we just deport all of the illegals if it saves just one life?

You may be on to something.

At least the gun was legal.

Not to mention the millions of defensive gun uses per year in the US. I wonder how many lives THAT saved.

Some of the libtards believe they have a right to "feel safe" which trumps everyone else's right to self defense.

Since illegals make me feel unsafe, I insist they be deported!

Lowering speed limits to 25 mph would save not 1, but 10's of thousands of lives each year.

No car is as much fun to drive, as any motorcycle is to ride.

Indeed!

Why stop there?!

Banning. . .

Alcohol
Tobacco
Swimmings pools
Knives
Hammers
Baseball bats
Fists
Funding foreign wars

. . .would save a lot of lives too.

Assholes!

Think of it this way. Because so many uninformed voters know nothing about firearms, it looks to them as though dems care and will try and help.

Big blue cities and states don't mind us saying anything about 2nd A rights (the 'ole facts vs feelings argument), as long as we're not pointing out the dems are incapable and unwilling of solving the criminal behavior issues.

Why not mandate:

- APEL approved eye pro anytime you are cooking anything or operating any appliance with a motor or moving pieces, sharp edges

- bump helmet when driving or riding in a car, plane, boat, bike, etc.

- watch a video to include a validation test before you buy any new product that goes in your body

- Body Mass

There are a handful of arguments that, when I hear a phrase, the argument loses ALL VALIDITY to me. "If it only saves one live" falls into that category.

Another is, "No one needs _______" (Lots of ammo, XX guns, guns, automatic weapons, etc.) Almost everything in life falls into the "no one really needs" category, so if it's bad for us, the environment, someone else, of creates bad feels, we should ban it, right? Everything in cookster's list above fits in both arguments.

Thus the metric system did not really catch on in the States, unless you count the increasing popularity of the nine-millimeter bullet.

You beat me to it.
I always say the people who say "It would be worth it to take away guns from people if it saved just one life" are the same people who say unrestricted abortions for all.

If these people only knew how many lives are saved every year by people using firearms to protect not only themselves but their family's, and in some cases even strangers.

Don't ignore the fact that "banning guns" would not automatically result in their disappearance as is assumed by those promoting this action. It would simply put them in the same category as banned drugs, something that only those who are willing to flout the law possess. The notion that legislation to eliminate civilian possession of firearms would accomplish its intended purpose is little more than a pipe dream.

When I've pointed those kinds of things out to ban enthusiasts, they are incapable of processing it and quickly resort to insults and epithets.

I point out that the only way to take outlawed guns is door-to-door searches and stopping cars and people for search. This would be warrantless by definition. Penalties would have to be harsh and swift to deter future violations. Accomplices (to include those who know but don't tell authorities) would also be harshly punished. Sizable rewards to snitches would be needed.

Picture the USSR, or East Germany, police state.

Lefties are so emotion driven about guns that they cannot use logic.

The problem with the “No one needs …” argument is that it is irrelevant. America is about rights and freedom, not needs.

In the communist movement, a popular slogan stated that everyone gave according to their abilities and received according to their needs.

Nothing American in there.
