Hoppes No. 9. Fragrant, multi-purpose, and when I use it my "gun" always gets cleaned out.

Blue Seduction. I like Joop too but I don't consider it inexpensive. It does stay with you for the evening though.

Viktor & Rolf Spicebomb. It’s a good winter cologne.

You should try Hoppes #9

LLH#9 (ladies love Hoppes #9)

Perry Ellis 18 Intense which runs around $20 for 3.4oz. I've been a big fan of L'Eau D'Issey pour Homme for years but they have sadly reformulated recently and the stuff is no longer the same. PE Intense is a decent alternative at a fraction of D'Issey's price.

Yes, soap and water. I can’t stand the smell of a perfumed prince.

I agree. I think men colognes are passé and I use to wear Eterity for women perfume, not the cologne.

"It did not really matter what we expected from life, but rather what life expected from us. We needed to stop asking about the meaning of life, and instead to think of ourselves as those who were being questioned by life – daily and hourly. Our answer must consist not in talk and meditation, but in right action and in right conduct. Life ultimately means taking the responsibility to find the right answer to its problems and to fulfill the tasks which it constantly sets for each individual." That’s not good news for me, I’ve been wearing it for years now and my wife just bought me a new bottle for my birthday.

Let me know what you think. My email is in my profile.

The reformulation was reported on line in numerous forums with lots of complaints. It's apparently weaker sillage and muted overall scent due apparently to the yuzu now being extremely weak while the warm spices are very strong. I still have an old bottle and several of the annuals as well as the Intense variation still on hand. Haven't bought any new stock of Issey Miyake L'Eau D'Issey pour Homme since I discovered folks complaining about the newer stock some time back.

Some now advocate L'eau d'Issey pour homme Fraiche as a better choice these days but it is priced the same as L'Eau D'Issey pour Homme which is why I didn't mention it in this thread about inexpensive choices. FWIW I haven't tried it as yet either.

More of an aftershave. I like Proraso Green. Great post shave feel. Light menthol and eucalyptus. Doesn't overstay it's welcome.

I wore Armais for almost 2 decades not long after it was introduced in 1965. Even bought numerous other products to include bath salts (the EX liked the stuff) and a lotion I used in my beard. After a couple years of their discontinuing items from the product line I moved on.

Over the years since I've used the likes of Guerlain's Vetiver, Baldessarini by Hugo Boss, Dolce & Gabbana pour Homme, Envy by Gucci, and others, but ultimately centered on Issey Miyake L'Eau d'Issey pour Homme.

Just got a bottle of the PS aftershave to try. I have been using Coty Wild Spice forever but its getting expensive and harder to find.I think im going to like the PS.Time will tell.
